SPOTLIGHT
Wicked Saints Studios was launched in in 2020 to focus on behavior technology and how that can apply in gaming and people alike. Players are challenged with a mission that helps them change the community for the better and how they would combat that. The absolute legend Jessica Murrey is the CEO and co-founder of this studio which kick started in Medford, Oregon. Jessica mentions the difficult challenges she’s faced when it comes to the industry being able to hear her voice “It’s definitely been challenging and there’s times when I’ve had a hard time getting in the room,” Murrey told NBC5 on the difficulties she faced getting to this point. “Once I’ve gotten in the room, I’ve had a hard time of people taking me seriously or calling me back.” That doesn’t stop her as she’s received funding for a project called “World Reborn”, which is an activism game focused on empowering the younger generation through adventure and best mental health practices.
Jessica continues to strive for change and not only that provides players and her community the tools to do so, she’s a winner for a Northwest Regional Emmy and an Oregon Association of Broadcasters Award for some of her work. Her belief to grow and make that first step is imperative. She’s coined the “Tattoo Method” which designs creative campaigns and an ultimate form of story telling to challenge the status quo of story telling.
