A Podcast For Women Changing The Game
“Don't f*ck with a witch.” - Bayonetta
Bayonetta is the quick witted lead female protagonist in the hack & slash video game Bayonetta. Bayonetta was first released in 2009, followed by the sequel Bayonetta 2 in 2014 leaving viewers waiting for Bayonetta 3, which is presumed to still be in development. Developed by Platinum Games and directed by Devil May Cry franchise creator Hideki Kamiya.
Fun Fact: In the game Bayonetta speaks a language that sounds more like gibberish - but she is actually speaking a real language known as Enochian. Enochian was recorded in the journals of John Dee and Edward Kelley from the late 16th-century in England. A language claimed to be delivered to them by real angels.
(Release - October 29, 2009)

THIS WEEK
This is a big week for Microsoft as they rolled out updates to allow for iOS users to access xCloud.
The push for cloud gaming continues to grow larger with companies such as Google & Amazon as they try to break into the gaming space - with their own streaming services such as Stadia - which has had a rocky start due to performance issues and poor monetization schemes & Luna, where users can request early Beta access here (only available in the US). Since cloud gaming is in its early infancy stages, its interesting to see if it will become the new way people playing video a games.
Which prompts the question - do you think cloud gaming will become the future of gaming or more of a gimmick?
SPOTLIGHT
CD Projekt Red is a Polish video game developer, publisher and distributor for leading titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Blood and Wine. Based in Warsaw and founded by Marcin Iwiński (CEO) & Michał Kiciński (CEO) in 1994. Confidently CDPR states that “ in addition to contributing to our projects the new team will help us perfect our technologies and will broaden our competences in this respect.” in turn possibly making these two to be quite the duo.
Some of the features we love: working there allows you to personally connect with the lead Heads of the studio, unique and diverse end of the month parties + events, creating games that focus on the players not the $$$.
